Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE E. ORYNIAK Suddenly, in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 30, 2000, Les Oryniak passed away at the age of 65. Les was born September 11, 1934 at Rossburn, Man. Les will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his son Neil; daughter Nicole and by his beloved grandchildren, Brett, Luke, Kyla and Aurora. He was predeceased by his wife Diane; his parents, brothers, Matt and Bill, and sister Marion Pratt. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Les is survived by four sisters, Myrtle Malloy and Pearl Gorda of Edmonton, Dora Mymko, Olive Dowback and husband John, and nephew Norman Mymko of Onanole, Man. Les was along time employee of T. Eaton Co. and Federal Pioneer. He served as a faithful and enthusiastic leader for the Boy Scouts of Canada and was a member of the vestry of St. Patricks St. Judes Church. Les loved the outdoors, in particular the times spent at the family cottage at Falcon Lake. His berry-picking expertise was the delight of everyone for Les could find berries where none seemed to exist. He also loved both fishing and hunting with friends and relatives. Visitation is Wednesday, May 3 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Avenue. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m., gathering at the front gates of Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue with friend and spiritual advisor Rev. John Moore officiating. A reception will follow in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel at 1858 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Les name to the Boy Scouts of Canada, 883 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2R 0C1, the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, Man., R3L 1X3, or a charity of ones choice.
